The Senior Financial Analyst provides analytical support to the agency and to the Controller, including the analysis of monthly results to provide insight and recommend actions on key growth drivers and trends as well as operational risk and opportunities. RESPONSIBILITIES Interfacing with client finance and operations teams to assist in project performance Collaborating with department managers to review utilization and expenditure patterns in support of budget objectives Supporting the improvement of company-wide financial controls to ensure accurate, consistent and timely reporting of financial data, including the review and restructuring of the existing information flows and controls Supporting our SOX compliance efforts by documenting key controls for the monthly closing file and preparing for SOX audits Monitoring ongoing expenditure patterns and identifying areas for improved performance Preparing balance sheet reconciliations accurately and in a timely fashion Make recommendations based on findings in reconciliations or month end close Other duties as assigned As part of the WPP Group, VMLY&R offers one of the best overall compensation packages in the business. REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field 5-7 years of financial analysis experience Industry experience preferred High level of analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills Excellent oral, written, interpersonal and presentation skills Cost accounting and profit fundamentals Self-motivated, self-starter and team player Ability to work with all levels of management Strong in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Corporate FinanceEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
