Senior Business Research Analyst at SS&C Technologies in Kansas City, MO
The Senior Business Research Analyst is a critical member of the SS&C Research, Analytics and Consulting team within the Distribution Solutions organization. The individuals in this role are expected to bring innovative approaches to sales and marketing, as well as product, sales enablement, and other elements of distribution to SS&C clients with the goal of delivering unique insights and influencing the modernization of the asset and wealth management industry. The Senior Business Research Analyst will perform market and industry research to evaluate the viability and potential for asset manager's distribution and advisor engagement capabilities and to identify opportunities to improve upon them to meet customer and industry challenges. These individuals will manage strategic research initiatives with a forward looking perspective and are expected to present the research studies in both traditional (in-person) and virtual settings both internally and externally. This person has accountability and ownership for the successful management of the team's critical market research initiatives including financial advisor surveys, asset manager benchmarking services and other critical research initiatives. The Senior Business Research Analyst leads and participates in customer think-tank meetings to examine business challenges and explore new ideas for optimization and enhancement. Applying significant industry, market, company and experience, this person is a mentor and guide to less experienced associates. Senior Business Research Analysts are resources within the company and to customers for questions and issues pertaining to their distribution, marketing and sales enablement activities and contribute to the development of department procedures and best practices to carry out the function of work effectively and efficiently. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in any field from a top tier college or university At least 5 years professional experience in the financial services industry or a related field Demonstrated experience in writing research papers and and/or extensive articles Demonstrated ability to conduct primary and secondary research, survey development, data analysis and presentation of findings Familiarity with financial services databases, trade news and research publications Familiarity with data/data visualization platforms Strong skills in communication, multi-tasking, organization, planning and prioritization Passion for market research and an inquisitive mind With SS&C offices across North America, we are open to candidates in any location remotely. For awareness, existing team members are based in Boston, Kansas City and New York, and you will work with internal teams across the organization.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
