Responsibilities:
- Patrol and monitor premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates - Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security - Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences - Call police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons - Answer alarms and investigate disturbances - Monitor and operate CCTV cameras and alarm systems - Perform access control duties by verifying identification and granting access to authorized individuals - Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors with directions or information
Experience:
- Proven work experience as a Security Officer or relevant position - Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety - Familiarity with report writing - Excellent surveillance and observation skills - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal - Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively Please note that this job description is not exhaustive, and additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
