We are seeking a skilled Compliance Technician to join our beautiful property in Kansas City, MO! Where will this role work? Grand Boulevard Lofts is a 134 unit tax credit housing community located in Kansas City, MO Core Responsibilities Performs resident file inspections to ensure all documentation and filing requirements are met and that the documentation is complete and correct.
Monitors compliance with applicable state, federal and local laws as they relate to housing program/policy.
Ensures compliance with the site's compliance programs.
Ensures timely compliance with Tax Credit and Section 8 recertification timelines.
Ensures timely completion of Section 8/Section 42 annual recertification process.
Assists Site Manager with legal proceedings involving compliance regulations/terminations.
Maintains resident files in accordance with the applicable housing program regulations and Sherman Associates policies.
Stays abreast of all compliance issues and updates.
Ensure compliance requirements are being met with the sites affordable programs.
Responsible for inspecting certification packets for completeness.
Assists in training staff in use of computerized compliance administration, if applicable.
Provides regular, genuine recognition to staff and/or co-workers.
Interviews residents and completes annual recertification.
Filing MI/IR/AR/IC certifications into residents' files.
Navigates throughout the Real Page software on a consistent basis.
Assist with problem solving in Real Page.
Demonstrates regular and consistent attendance.
Other job duties as required.
Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalency; Associates Degree in Business or a related field preferred.
2-5 years of experience in tax credit, affordable housing program compliance.
2-3 years of prior experience working in property management strongly preferred.
Required Skills & Abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Experience with RealPage software strongly preferred.
COS, COM, HCCM designation strongly preferred.
Experience with diverse communities, including tenants limited English proficiency.
Type 55 wpm with minimal errors.

Detail-oriented, with strong organizational, problem-solving and administrative skills.
Ability to exercise judgment and suggest creative approaches to new issues.
Possesses initiative and thrives in a fast-paced work environment.
Is team-oriented and flexible in assuming new responsibilities as they arise.
As applicable, must possess a valid driver's license, reliable vehicle with insurance and safe DMV driving record.

WORK ENVIRONMENT This job operates in a professional office environment.
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Exposed to ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment found in a typical office environment; quiet to moderate noise level.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to stand at a desk for up to 8-hours per day.
Walking and standing are required the rest of the working day.
Length of time of these tasks may vary from day to day and task to task.
Must have the ability to move around freely throughout the property and office, and necessity varies from day to day.
Must be able to lift up to 25-30 lbs.
