Responsibilities What you'll be challenged to do:
TranSystems is seeking an experienced senior and mid-level Economists with experience in Benefit-Cost Analysis to support discretionary grant funding applications and project advancement decisions.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience and demonstrated technical excellence in the execution of transportation analysis supporting policy and project development for a variety of transportation clients.
A candidate for this position should have strong listening and communication skills with the ability to write materials and present concepts and ideas to clients that relay a clear message.
Additionally, we are seeking someone with strong leadership ability, is a team player and takes ownership of their work.
This may be a fully remote position, with the candidate living in the United States.
Primary Responsibilities of a Transportation Analyst/Economist:
Design and implement the benefit-cost analysis of selected project(s) Oversee the development of benefit-cost analysis models for the evaluation of priority projects Support project financial feasibility or cost effectiveness review Provide guidance on data collection and analysis on the selected project(s) Communicate with clients and internal teams to gather feedback Oversees and prepares documentation for technical studies with supporting data for selected project(s) Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing professional networks; participating in professional societies.
Qualifications What you bring to our firm:
An advanced degree (Masters) in economics, finance, or a related field required A minimum of 15 years of experience in relevant field including benefit-cost and financial effectiveness analysis Familiarity with Federal discretionary funding programs (i.
e.
, INFRA, RAISE, CRISI) Experience with designing and implementing financial and economics modeling for transportation Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to interact with clients and community stakeholders Ability to multi-task and stay organized Highly responsive to requests from clients Actively engages multiple perspectives when solving problems, seeks to learn from peers, and encourages reciprocal learning among team members.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
