Manager, Production


Responsibilities:
Accountable to lead their Product Lines to a level of performance which meets and/or exceeds monthly and annual goals.
Responsible for the adherence to annual budgets and to meet key performance indicators.
Responsible for coordination and streamlining operations.
Responsible for developing and maintaining a culture where decisions are communicated to their lowest level.
Team member and first line supervisor empowerment is not just a phrase but is a way of life in this environment.
Drive the operating system via LEAN manufacturing including Kaizen Blitz events, Kanban, First Time Quality, Value Stream mapping, 5S, and ISO principles.
Mentor and train operations leaders in using tools and adopting principles that will lead to operational excellence.
Focus on Key Metrics; Safety, Quality, Delivery, Performance/Customer Satisfaction, EBITDA and Efficiency/Productivity.
Maintain excellence in the areas of Preventative Maintenance and housekeeping.
Facilities should reflect a spotless environment/culture.
Position Requirements and Education:
Minimum of 3-5 years operational experience with significant Floor Time as Team Leader, Engineering or other related positions.
Expertise in developing a World Class process and in-depth understanding of LEAN, Continuous Improvement and quality systems such as TQM, ISO or QS is mandatory.
Six Sigma training is a plus.
Customer Service orientation is critical.
The successful candidate should be a high-energy, self-sufficient LEADER with an established track record of success on various levels within a fast-paced organization.
An entrepreneurial spirit is a must.
Strong relationship development skill is required with excellent communication and interpersonal skills along with a hands-on, roll up your sleeves management style.
An exemplary leader who gets the most out of working with and developing people yet can take decisive action.
Willingness to address tactical issues in the short-term while maintaining strategic vision for the long-term.
Demonstrated Project Management skills with significant detail orientation.
The ability to work cross functionally and Influence without authority is a must.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Operations Management preferred.
Formal training in process improvement theory and techniques is a plus.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
