At Spotlight, it's our mission to create and sustain successful analyst relations (AR) programs for our clients, and Spotlight's Analyst Desk plays a key role in synthesizing the information we need to fuel that success.
The team spends time following technology markets and creating contextual analyses of trends therein.
As a Research intern, you will be working closely with the Analyst Desk to help synthesize industry research across various industries and subject matters.

As a Research intern, you will be working closely with the Spotlight's research team to help synthesize industry research across various industries and subject matters.
To be successful as an intern, you should be willing to help with any tasks assigned by a supervisor.
Your work will be focused in a specific department where you will get a chance to immerse yourself in a specialty and gain transferable skills.
You will receive a basic understanding of analyst relations and be involved in a few cross-team collaboration projects for an even broader view of the impact on Spotlight's work.
Following the completion of the program and evaluated performance, interns may have the opportunity to continue part-time or full-time employment.

Responsibilities:
Create informational materials for employees and clients Document, catalog, and maintain information resourcesData quality reviewRead and summarize industry researchPerform independent research for given projects Additional Intern Activities:

Research experience or education preferredPreference given to candidates who will begin their final year (or semester) of school next fall Must be Kansas City-basedAvailable to work approximately 40 hours/week from May 27, 2024 to August 2, 2024Eager to learn and work with various departments in the companyDesired Skills, Attributes &
Experience:
An upbeat, fun, and engaging attitudeExcellent communication skills and style, and ability to work with many different audiencesFundamental writing, research, and critical-thinking skillsTime management abilities to coordinate different deadlines across projectsWorks well and collaborates with teammatesShould have a strong interest in the digital tech space but can come from a variety of different backgrounds including corporate communications, business, public relations, and/or marketing

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
