Company Support Director
Job Description:
The Director of Field Operations and Real Estate is responsible for the execution of real estate and operational day-to-day activities across the US Retail and Block Advisor footprint, comprised of 6,500 offices nationwide.
This role works closely with leadership to set strategic goals, resolve conflicts, and make decisions on real estate and operational activities.
To be successful in this role will require outstanding organizational, communication, and leadership skills with an ability to develop bold and innovative solutions.
Ideal candidates will be able to lead and direct large, complex projects/programs in a geographically dispersed, matrixed environment.
Develop, coach, and lead a diverse, nationwide operations team of 150 full time professionals with an additional 500 hourly and/or seasonal associates.
Manage 3rd party real estate vendor to execute real estate activities including lease renewals, relocations, upgrades, design, transaction management, construction, and facilities management.
Establish quantitative and qualitative metrics, guidelines, and standards by which the company operations efficiency and effectiveness can be evaluated; identify opportunities for improvement and provide ongoing status updates.
Set strategic goals for efficiency and increased productivity for both operational and real estate activity.
Assist in the program planning process with other members of management and affected external partners.
Manage communications with HRB leaders, business partners, external partners, and project stakeholders.
Meet with leadership, business representatives, external partners, and various focus groups to receive feedback on current systems and to brainstorm enhancements for future program and development initiatives.
Understand how department programs and products can be applied to improve tax operations productivity, and/or help the business gain competitive advantages.
? Direct the development of proposals, statements of work, RFPs, and RFIs.
Review financial information and adjust operational budgets to promote profitability.
Serve on various steering committees for related projects.
Work closely with People & Culture to lead the team with integrity and to establish and maintain a trusting, inclusive, and productive environment.
