30 AM to 5 PM Under the direction of the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Assistant will prepare and submit payroll, coordinate with hiring managers on recruitment needs and perform other general Human Resources duties as assigned.
Duties:
Prepare payroll processing with updating pay records, benefit deductions and timesheets.
Finalize and process bi-monthly and bi-weekly payroll for 130 employees using Paycor.
Maintain salary spreadsheet.
Complete employee transaction sheets for new hires, pay increases, title changes, termination.
Maintain accurate attendance records to record vacation, sick time, personal time, leave without pay, and FMLA time.
Set up accruals for new hires in Paycor.
Set up benefit payroll deductions, loans, garnishments and other deductions.
Coordinate with fiscal team when a manual check is needed.
Submit and finalize 401k contributions.
Communicate with the fiscal team regarding the payroll costs after each payroll submission.
Reconcile monthly benefit statements to payroll deductions and submit check requests for payment to Accounts Payable.
Submit quarterly Bureau of Labor Statistics reports and other compliance reports.
Assist HR Director with 401k audit and 5500 filing.
Maintain HR files and timely file paperwork.
Coordinate with hiring managers to post open positions.
Create and maintain Linkedin and Facebook recruiting pages Schedule interviews for hiring managers.
Coordinate schedules for on-campus interviews at law schools.
Coordinate with hiring manager to conduct reference checks.
Prepare first day welcome gifts for new hires.
Prepare security badges.
Facilitate any building maintenance requests with appropriate vendors.
Handle all vendors that provide services to offices (water bottle service, shredding service, cleaning services, security services, coffee services, ice services) Communicate with building management about any maintenance or security issues.
Assist with property inventory.
Assist with board meetings.
Maintain company cell phones Other duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience Associates degree.
Experience processing payroll.
Experience using Paycor or a similar HRIS/Payroll system.
Experience in a Human Resources department Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality with records.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Education & Experience Bachelor's degree Payroll Certification (CPP) through American Payroll Association Human Resources Certification through HRCI or SHRM Job Type:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
