Director of Information Technology
Seeking a Director of Information Technology for a unique opportunity to work for an extremely stable, solid organization while making a big impact.
Looking for someone who understands directing I.
T.
at a large organization yet is also looking to roll up their sleeves & drive implementation both technically and by connecting with various internal & external parties.
This position is responsible for overall management of the Information Technology Department & strategic planning of technology systems for U.
S.
operations along with directing the local SAP IT Application support team.
-Education:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related field and 10 years of experience leading IT strategy and operations; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Time Utilization:
This position will travel up to 15% of the time.
International travel required.
Normal business hours are 8:
00 am to 5:
00 pm.
Schedule needs to be flexible to accommodate internal and external customer s schedules.
Must have exp:
-Experience with ERP systems, specifically SAP, is preferred.
-10 yrs.
of experience leading IT strategy and operations; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
-Willing and able to work onsite in the Kansas City office from 8:
00am-5:
00pm.
Willing to travel occasionally, up to 15%, with some international travel.
-Ability to assess current systems and key needs, determine a course for strategic digital improvement, prioritize, and personally lead implementation-IT experience with large organizations and collaborating with global teams.
Ability to understand larger, global business needs while also questioning recommendations and requests from German parent-company.
Nice to have exp:
-Strong communication skills.
-Currently living in the KC metro area -Previous experience with a company manufacturing large capital equipment, particularly packaging or processing machinery.
-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
-Proficiency in project management methodologies and frameworks, -Not more than 2 jobs in the last 5 years, 3 in the last 7 years (please provide explanation if this is not the case)-Experience scaling an organization and implementing significant change-Strong alignment with compensation package (there isn't much flexibility)Duties/
Responsibilities:
-Collaborate with Germany location on IT strategies and U.
S.
technology needs.
-Provide support and guidance for the SAP IT Applications support team.
-Develop and lead IT communication strategies.
-Manage, direct, and assign priorities and resources to projects to ensure attainment of IT goals and objectives.
-Analyze complex business needs and develop and implement technical solutions.
-Facilitate and support internal digitalization initiatives and the creation of a modern work team.
-Oversee technology applications and evaluate effectiveness against established goals.
-Support global IT standards and policies and systems to reinforce corporate strategies and goals.
-Oversee systems of internal controls, emergency and backup procedures, proper licensing, system upgrades, and disaster recovery plans to ensure integrity of information, security of databases, and internal network access control.
Develop and control IT budget.
-Performs other related duties as assigned.
