DescriptionThe Experiential Graphic Design Intern will provide design, creativity and program support to the Experiential group within Corporate MarketingThis position will assist in the design development and support of multiple brand programs and experiential design services to showcase and promote the Burns & McDonnell brand in a variety of physical environmentsTop service areas include the Branded Interiors Program which works to create a consistent brand experience for clients and employees in our 70 offices across the world, the Trade Show Asset Program which provides design support and strategy for branded trade show booth assets at the 200 shows we exhibit at annually and this position will also have the opportunity to work on branding at company-sponsored events, construction sites and anywhere else branding is needed across Burns & McDonnells built environments.Provide creative concepting for Burns & McDonnell experiential graphicsDevelop and deliver creative, strategic graphic solutions that are on-brand, on time and on-budget.Assist with brainstorming and designing concepts to provide branding, signage and wayfinding at our active construction sites.Design and strategize branded trade show booth elements and graphics for a variety of AEC-focused conferences.Partner with other team members on Branded Interiors projects providing branded graphics to our new or expanding offices.Assist in maintaining the suite of Branded Interiors Program portfolios.Provide design support of both internal and external branded events and experiences for the company.Work with graphic fabrication partners to review proofs and finalize materials and fabrication methods of built graphics.Project management and coordination support of Brand Experience projects as required.Present your concepts and design process at internal and client-facing meetings.Effectively collaborate and work with a variety of team members both face-to-face and digitally.Conduct research before developing design concepts.Follow established quality control process.All other duties as assigned.QualificationsEnrolled in postsecondary education or technical certificate program in graphic design, visual communications or fine arts field at a sophomore levelMust provide a portfolio supporting that background.A minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.Knowledge of industry-standard graphic design and layout software (i.eAdobe Creative Suite, etc.) with comprehensive understanding of InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.Experience with 3D software (Sketchup, Rhino, Revit, AutoCAD, etc.) preferred.Knowledge of large format printing, signage materials and production processes preferred.Familiarity with reading floor plans, elevations and other aspects of architectural drawings is preferred.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Strong organizational skills.Ability to work effectively with teams in person and virtually.Demonstrates understanding of good layout principles.Ability to ideate and conceptualize multiple concepts.Understands and applies color theory and color relationships.Analytical/problem-solving skills.Knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.Strong visual proofing and error-checking skills.Ability to manage work on multiple fast-paced projects.EEO/Minorities/Females/Disabled/VeteransJob InternPrimary Location US-MO-Kansas CitySchedule:

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
