The Big Picture - Top Skills You Should Possess: Assist user and IT management in the development of detailed business and/or system requirements for major system installations and complete coding and testing responsibilities. Provide systems analysis technical support to resolve operational and functional problems primarily involving E-commerce projects. What You'll Be Doing: - Partners with user management, IT and external vendors to determine systems solutions to opportunities and challenges. - Participates with project team in developing all phases in the company's systems development methodology. - Gather requirements, control project plans and resources, and perform project management duties to install and support applications and solutions. - Designs and develops interfaces and solutions to facilitate and support system functionality. - Works with staff and users to generate and execute system test scripts for testing and debugging new systems or new software releases. - Provides around-the-clock support to the
computer
operations department on a rotating basis for designated company applications and systems. - Researches, evaluates and recommends potential products and solutions as needed. What You Need to Bring to the Table: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, along with five (5) to seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience as a Programmer/Analyst or Business Analyst is required. - Fully knowledgeable in systems/business analysis processes and familiarity with Systems Development Methodologies required. - Must be fluent in Java, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, JSP and JSTL and have experience with developing struts, hibernate, and spring frameworks. - Knowledge of SQL, RDBMS, Hibernate, PL/SQL and XML required, along with familiarity with SVN and/or other version control systems and software development life cycles. - Project management skills are critical. - Knowledge of the retail industry is preferred.
