Conducts risk assessment programs to identify areas of potential vulnerability in operating systems used throughout the organization. Prioritizes and schedules areas to be evaluated, and develops assessment criteria. Analyzes findings and develops and presents recommendations for methods to prevent security incidents and insure systems reliability.
Conducts assigned systems security evaluations, audits, and reviews. Gathers and analyzes findings; organizes documentation, consults with systems' users, and develops recommendations used to identify and define systems security requirements.
Participates in network and systems design to ensure implementation of appropriate systems security applications and policies. Recommends acquisition specifications related to IT security considerations. The experience may have been gained in either the public or private sector. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
