_Job Summary_
Provides technical, project, analytical, and operational support for department/district. Demonstrates increasing skills in Cash/FRB specific automated systems, project coordination, managing information, providing technical support for day-to-day operations systems/infrastructure, and collecting and analyzing data.
_Key Activities_
Adheres to Cash department control procedures and processes and develops a thorough understanding of the department and business area responsibilities. Possesses/develops technical skills related to supporting automated systems. Coordinates with district and national technical staff to establish business requirements, test, implement process changes, create documentation, troubleshoot, and test contingency processes for automated systems, which may include off-hours and weekend work to support. Examples include video surveillance systems, accounting systems, and high-speed processing systems. Represents the Kansas City Reserve Bank in System level workgroups and projects.
Develops an understanding of Cash automated systems and interdependencies/integration. Uses resources to troubleshoot issues. Examples include inventory tracking system, external customer/partner web-based applications, automated vault system, etc. Manages, coordinates, or conducts activities related to identifying and managing department risks, such as Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) assessment and compliance activities, information security awareness, adherence, and completion of the SAFR risk management process.
Manages or conducts projects of moderate to high complexity. Ensures projects meet time and budget estimates. Provides appropriate status updates to members of management. Frequently interacts with users and technical staff throughout the Federal Reserve System. Effectively communicates technical concepts to both non-technical users and technical staff.
Develops analysis/recommendations/conclusions and delivers to management in writing or through oral presentation. Designs management information reports, tools, and systems. Trains users, counterparts, and members of management on applications/processes as necessary. Participates in business continuity testing and plan maintenance. Performs other duties as assigned.
_Qualifications_
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Effective interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively in a team environment, both in person and virtually. Ability to lead team efforts/projects.
Proficient computer skills in programs including, but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, e-mail programs, MS Access and internal and System business applications. Capacity to understand hardware and software functionality and infrastructure.
Analytical and problem solving skills.
Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Project management skills to include organization, planning and execution.
Customer service orientation.
Ability to work an adjusted schedule, including weekend and evening work to support automated system changes/troubleshooting, contingency testing, etc.
