IT Systems Integration / Data Migration Specialist (Dynamics GP)

Velocity Staff, Inc. currently working with our client located in Overland Park to identify an IT Systems Consultant to join their team. This is a great opportunity for a Dynamics GP expert who prefers project work, internal consulting and problem solving over traditional accounting. The key responsibility for this position is to support the Accounting and Finance teams in integrating Systems and System tools (specifically in MS Dynamics GP, but not limited to this) to improve accuracy and efficiency, to provide service delivery to enhance existing and new capability of accounting and finance systems. This position will include a good deal of ad hoc reporting. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of accounting/finance terminology.
This role would also work with other business units in the company in conjunction with the Accounting and Finance teams to ensure that the systems put in place serve the needs from a broader company perspective. This person would listen to the needs of their clients, do appropriate analysis of systems and present the best solution. Once the best solution is approved, this function will be responsible to manage the implementation and maintenance of the system.
Continual process improvement and support is the long term goal of this position.
o Minimum of 5 years of experience in working with Accounting and Financial Information systems, as a consultant or internal resource
o Excellent Communication Skills: oral and written
o Minimum of 3 years Hands-on experience in GP (MS Dynamics)
o Experience with GP ad hoc reporting is required
o Experience with GP implementation is preferred
o Time management and organizational skills
o High level of professionalism with internal and external customers
o Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
o Understanding of Accounting Systems and ProcessesEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
