Health System Specialist (Executive Assistant)

Duties of the Health Systems Specialist, Executive Assistant includes but is not limited to:
Serves as the principal advisor, and a resource person, to the ADPCS. Works independently and closely on a day-to-day basis with ADPCS. Acts on behalf of the ADPCS in communicating with stakeholders, both internal and external to the organization. Serves on process action teams and task forces of short duration to focus on specific process improvements or problem issues. Collects and analyzes data, and prepares recommendations. Develops and implements management information monitoring systems for tracking status of nursing service resources and operational parameters relative to service performance and strategic goals/plans as needed. Develops and makes recommendations and proposals to the ADPCS regarding activities related to improvement in the efficiency and effectiveness of VA health care delivery operations. Identifies problems or potential problems pertaining to Patient Care Services that impact the ability to provide good customer service and/or quality care. Plans, identifies, resolves, and implements complex management programs and policies relevant to the mission and operation. Receives overall program goals and objectives from the ADPCS and/or the Medical Center Director. Has multiple contacts daily, at all levels of activity. Serve on task groups or special assignments from various levels of the organization. Consistently communicates and treats customers (veterans, their representatives, visitors, and all VA staff) in a courteous, tactful, and respectful manner. Handles conflict and problems in dealing with the customer constructively and appropriately. Follows applicable regulations and instructions regarding access to computerized files, release of access codes, etc. Work Schedule:

Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-12 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-11. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. Note:

Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-11 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
