If you are just moving to KC There is a beautiful parkway called Blue River Road that is near by. It's one of the prettiest drives in KC. To the east is Longview Lake and its marina. You can feed the fish off the dock or rent a pontoon boat or fish. Be sure to try out the barbecue restaurants. I think the best is Q39 or Jack Stack in Martin City.
